At Interactive Entertainment Systems (IES), we believe that event design is a personal process that merges creativity, technology, and of course, finances. For over 20 years, owner Richard Phillips has designed some of the most impressive lighting and audio visual experiences in Central Texas. We not only provide our expertise to transform events with lighting and audio visuals, but we also possess all of the most current equipment, which we offer for rental at competitive rates. IES is a veteran-owned small business serving Central Texas since 2004, is a member of Round Rock and Harker Heights Chambers of Commerce, and we are insured with commercial liability and auto and workers’ comp.
Richard has designed and installed Lighting and AV systems for over 20 years. His projects have included Nightclubs, Houses of Worship, Bowling Centers, Skating Rinks, Sports Bars, Corporate and Retail in the US and Mexico. He is well known for his innovative designs the ability to get it done! In 2007 he shifted IES towards the live event industry and now does more than 60% of his business bringing special events to life!
"I love my work and especially like the live events industry. It's very exciting creating the atmosphere, then bringing it all together and watching it come to life.”
"I like to develop a personal relationship with the client and oversee the installations myself to make sure it is exactly what the client and I envisioned."
On Richards creative side he is a light artist. Some of his work has been exhibited at Austins New Years Eve 2013, First Night Austin 2009 & 2010 & South x South West 2010. He is also the creator / producer of Light Wizards which is an interactive musical stage experience for all ages.
Additionally, Richard is the developer of Synth-A-Beams® which is an interactive system that triggers sound and lighting effects as beams of light are interrupted. These systems have been used by performers and installed in entertainment and science centers all over the world.
